Sudden Prayers make God jump

This is not a sudden prayer - I have been turning this over in my mind for a few days now and I wonder If I should be typing thisat all? I feel confined by a certain temerity. I am a might nervous. Why? Because I imagine I must be in the presence of some quite exalted company.

Healers all and judging by the list on the master web site individuals and organisations who consider themselves experts in their respective fields. Me I am a rank amateur ... I have only been playing at it - so someone said to me the other day - I have to admit to being a little affronted - but they are entitled to their opinion - I just try to follow Gods law and do the best job I can with the tasks I am given by "My Team".. I have much to learn - even after 60 years on this planet.

My point ... Jackie kindly offered to act as remote mentor to any probationers or trainees who might have questions they were reluctant to air in their own circles ... or for whatever reason they wish to retain some anonymity.

My other point ...There is out there a veritable wealth of expertise and experience ... would it not be a good idea if some were to share those experiences - (and yes, I know time is premium) share tips about techniques, systems, cultures ... we all wish to share in the joy of doing God's work and delight when positive results are achieved.

We all, I am sure act upon the healing requests that Anne periodicaly sends out - I certainly do.

Nearly 900 visits to this forum have been made in a few short weeks - there is a purpose for this site - one of which is to bridge gaps (and I don't mean with a chocolate bar). Someone out there is interested. By becoming healers- regardless of type and method - we all made a commitment - we all made a vow - and because of that we have undertaken a particular responsibility - to share our knowledge and pool our collected wisdom - you may never know whom you will help by putting pen to paper as it were .. but does an empty page say as much about us as when the pen stops moving?

Some would say it does.

I have been introduced to all manner of new ideas since I became involved with this forum. I have made new friends in places I had never previously known existed (really wonderful people - it gladdens the heart that there is so much optimism and hope out there and that the human spirit is still burning bright).

I have discovered new aspects about myself and my purpose. "My Team" have given me fantastic support. It has been a revelation.

How about your revelations - there must a thousand stories and opions as to how everyone became involved as a healer - their inspiration -their motives - a host of silly stories.

Many years ago - in my early days a woman was advised during healing to give up the fags - she nodded politely. The session finished - she went outside to light up. The ciggy just got to her lips and was cast to the ground (bear in mind there was no wind and she was under a covered porch) as she bent dow it gently rolled away, she bent down again, it rolled away - several more times this happened - one of my colleagues retrieved said ciggy - I just shook my head - My mentor was by my side, " What were you just told" he said to her ...... Did she give up smoking - I have no idea .. she never came back again .... sometimes we get just one shot at a subject .. and then .. surprising powers become apparent - spirit moves in and makes a very salient point.

We do what we can when we can and hope we make a difference - all the time it is our faith in the universal laws and God's love for us all under all conditions that makes the difference. That incident may not have had an impact on that lady - but you can bet your last dollar she related it to a few friends over coffee or in the pub - that is where the impact was made - to those to whom she told the story - one may have listened more intently than the others and acted upon it - and so the universal conscoiusness grows and so we learn new things and are motivated to investigate.

Is that not what we should all be doing??

So can you take God by surprise or is he nudging you into believing you have some sort of control - There is only one God - but he has many helpers, angels and guides (as we all well know) .... they also have a sense of humour ..... are we taking them by surprise or responding to a plan - and how many of us are part of the plan.

When was the last time you tried to make God jump??

Okay folks.. I know we all have a story or 2 to reveal on this one.
And I am certain that most of them are mighty serious and heartbreaking.
So for now I will give you one that seems odd to tell.. but more
serious at the time for me. I have a very emapathtic spirit and
would guess it to be child like at 54.
I work with people that have a variety of disabilities . One of the ladies I work for has an aquarium that she really enjoys and really had bonded
with her new 8 inch by 4 inch KOI.
He is so large for that environment that when he jumped.. he either burned or shocked himself not certain. HE moved quickly through the tank
a half a dozen times and went suddenly sideways grasping for air.
I immediately ran to the rescue.. but what could I actually do.
I changed some water .. threw in some Aloe and the lady was crying.
So I told her that all was left was to pray and ask that God would heal her fish. I had to leave my shift then and turned back to see the fish is
total distress.
The next day I shuttered at the thought the lady may have lost the fish
but low and behold her story was that he was fine the next morning.
Maybe ... but I have had my own fish tanks and I really did not expect this.Now I am a laughing stock at work because.. I prayed to God to heal the fish.. now how about that "fish story"
Who says God does not tune in...

Two nights ago something had struck me from someone's story on this forum. My thought was " The Lord's Prayer" and what it states in the Bible.
It was a bit late and I let it float a bit but knew that I wanted to write about this.
Last night.. there was one of those so called coincidences or possibly
synchronisities that I was convinced that I needed to follow thru.
There was a program on coasttocoastam.com of which we are able
to have the luxuary to hear here in the states.. but I am not aware
if it is offered Internationally.

Art had asked him about prayer and of course he had some really good answers and he mentioned that for some reason and of course dont
quote me.. that for some reason The Lords Prayer actually was the
most sure way. ( I honestly do not remember his exact words for I was truely excited that it was something I just had some instinctive feeling
about. You know one of those "You know cause you know it" revelations!
I might also add that I have read parts of the Bible on my own
but was not real keen of quoting or directing anyone to any part of it.
I was raised Catholic and everything in mass at that time was in Latin.
Not much was said to reveal very much.
I have in my possesion some notes granmother left behind refering to
some spiritual lessons that may or may not have been pointed to in
some churches.
Now I take a bit more interest for there were many wise words spoken
or written.. so I would like to give credit to those that revealed some of
the doctrines that seem more important now to me than ever.
So to end this please if you can read Matthew Chapter 6
And in verse 8 and 9 it states:
8)Be not ye therefore like unto them;for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before you ask him.
9)After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in Heaven...

But first we all need to be inspired to have the thought for although He may know what we need - it is our wishes for the better welfare of others that He also needs to know - and He does not know that untill we ask in our addendum prayers - if it is as much about conscious energy as it is faith then that conscious enegy needs to be staed and aired - but as a precusor "The Lord's Prayer" ...... is no bad place to start .. in fact nothing much beats it for putting across a succinct and erudite message. Gets to the point and to the heart of the matter very well indeed..... don't you all think ???

I wonder; of the great and the mighty in the Linksclan community - how many use it on a regular basis ..................... I wonder how much of the lesson of humility has been sidestepped ........ ?????????
